Canker sore? - canker sore roof of mouth

Ouch!
I have a huge pain in the palate. It was very painful, it makes me dizzy and makes my face hurt. went to an urgent care today and the doc said it was a huge ulcer pain.
Heres the problem made some research online and all the places it says there is not a cancer sore on the roof of the mouth, ulcers in the mouth!
I'm on a first date with a guy ....
.... very concerned
Can you cancer sores on hard palette?
